NARI Certified Remodeling Professional

We understand that price is a huge factor when it comes to renovating your home in this economy. However, you should also look for a remodeler who has the experience and knowledge to get the job right.

As National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) certified remodeling professionals, we will make sure that you receive the best work in the industry.

Our professional builders were put through rigorous testing and screening process by NARI. We have received in-depth training, extensive knowledge of the industry, ideal business practices, and a commitment to professional conduct.

Our team must also meet annual recertification requirements through continuing education and industry-related programs.

Moorestown, NJ, September, 12, 2013 --- Steven Feigeles from Premier Builders and Remodeling in Williamstown and Burlington, New Jersey recently earned the designation of Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP) from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, (NARI).

A Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP) designation proves the remodeling contractor’s superior knowledge, technical comprehension and skill in principles attractive not only to those who wish to age-in-place but also families with special needs and families that are forward thinking. A UDCP proves knowledge in the seven principles of Universal Design, how to interview clients with an understanding and consideration of their special needs, and finally the how-to of building these projects.

NARI’s UDCP program measures skill and expertise valued not only by other professional remodelers, but by consumers as well. Highly respected by those who have achieved the designation, the UDCP program identifies professional remodelers who have undergone comprehensive review and testing in areas of universal design/remodeling. In addition, they must also adhere to NARI’s strict Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

NARI is a professional association whose members voluntarily subscribe to a strict code of ethics. Consumers may wish to search www.NARIremodelers.com to find a qualified professional who is a member of NARI.

Who is NARI?

As the voice of the remodeling industry, NARI has an inclusive, encompassing purpose: to establish and maintain a firm commitment to developing and sustaining programs that expand and unite the remodeling industry; to ensure the industry's growth and security; to encourage ethical conduct, sound business practices and professionalism in the remodeling industry; and to present NARI as the recognized authority in the remodeling industry.

Members of NARI are full service contractors, design-build firms, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, subcontractors, lenders and other related professionals who work in the remodeling field. NARI is committed to educating both trade professionals and remodeling-ready homeowners. NARI does this by reaching out to a diverse audience in a variety of formats including education, training, publications and programs.

For the last decade, NARI's Certification Program has been providing the remodeling industry with a formalized standard of expertise, knowledge, and ethical conduct among professional remodelers. The NARI Certification Program offers a measure of skill and expertise valued not only by other remodelers, but by consumers. Prized by those who have achieved the designation, certification programs identify remodelers who have undergone a detailed review and testing in areas of business management, ethical conduct, and technical skills.

"The National Association of the Remodeling Industry brings together people who work in and with the remodeling industry, belonging and growing by learning from one another. As professionals, we create an exceptional experience for the remodeling consumer."

"The National Association of the Remodeling Industry is dedicated to being the best resource for knowledge and training in the remodeling industry. Together we help construct the dreams in people's lives."

To many professional remodelers, NARI Certification offers one of their most valuable marketing tools - assurance that the consumer is choosing a professional with years of experience, dedication to ongoing training, and a commitment to ethical conduct. NARI now has four distinct designations, "Certified Remodeler" (CR), "Certified Remodeler Specialist" (CRS), "Certified Remodeler Associate" (CRA) and "Certified Lead Carpenter" (CLC). With the remodeling industry now surpassing new home construction, being a member of NARI is more important than ever.

The NARI Code of Ethics

Each member of NARI is pledged to observe the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and responsibility in the conduct of business:

  • By promoting only those products and services which are functionally and economically sound, and which are consistent with objective standards of health and safety;
  • By making all advertising and sales promotion factually accurate with respect to product description, performance specification, and cost/benefit analysis, and by avoiding practices that tend to mislead or deceive the customer with respect to competitive pricing, savings claims, or the nature and significance of contracts, warranties, finance agreements, completion certifications, lien wavers, or liability and workers' compensation insurance;
  • By writing all contracts and warranties such that they are fair and mutually beneficial to all parties concerned, such that they are free of ambiguities or omissions which tend to obscure contractual obligations, and such that warranty terms and provisions are free of the capacity to mislead or deceive the customer as to quality or longevity of the product of service;
  • By honoring all contractual obligations until and unless they are altered or dissolved by the mutual consent of all contractual parties concerned, and by fulfilling those obligations in a reasonably prompt manner that is fair to all parties concerned;
  • By promptly acknowledging and acting on all customer complaints, and, in situations where complaints appear unreasonable and persistent, by encouraging the customer to initiate an approved third party dispute settlement mechanism; and
  • By refraining from any act intended to restrain or suppress competition, and to thereby promote the private enterprise system and its guarantee of equal rights for all.
